It was our 11th annivesary yesterday 04 Aug, and we decided that we would go out for lunch while Abby's home nurse Carole watched Abby at the hospital.

The initial tests came back on Abby and she has this:
"Infection with Cryptosporidium, called cryptosporidiosis, causes an acute watery diarrhea often associated with abdominal cramps. Less common symptoms include vomiting, fever, and loss of appetite. Symptoms usually persist for one to two weeks, but shedding of the bug in the stool may last for several weeks. "

She likely got it from a water park we went to last week. Now I am having the symptoms of the bug. While out to lunch I ate and drank very little and really was not good company. The medication is the same Abby would be on but the earliest I could get it would be Monday. So I have to suffer until then.

I am actually staying at the hospital, Abby is in isolation and I can actually rest more at the hospital than at home.

Robin also got a call from the PA Dept of Health regarding the infection for Abby since it is a contagious disease.
So our celebration was not very happy but we did get a few hours together.
