OK, I like the smartass attitude. But believe me, down here, people try to exploit that like nobody's business. I like to be considered for positions by brains, not looks. If I sound whiny, maybe I am. Live here for a few weeks and you'll see what I mean. It's not so fun.

I wasn't being a smartass. I've seen photos of you. You are in that beautiful crowd.
I know what you mean, though. When I first moved to Philly I took a marketing job with a chemical company. I am convinced to this day it was due to my rack. But I got the job, which led to another position in the company that put me on the path to where I am today. All part of life's plan. I'd like to pretend that I got where I am solely on my brains but I know better. At the risk of sounding like I'm selling out the sisterhood, if you've got it, work it. The rest will become known in time. Just don't go over the top so you look like a hoochie mama.

I tend to prefer average. Too far out on either side of average, that is extremes, are off-putting to me. Of course, my defination of average is, well, mine and not yours.
This rule applies to many of my preferences but certainly not all. <walking away humming a tune>

Being a dude and everything, I'm not sure that it's proper for me to comment on "racks" or "hoochie mamaness," as far as it pertains to being hired. This could be one of those "girls only" threads and I don't know if I should intrude.
I mean, there have been posts from the past wherein a woman has found it, er, uncool, for a man to stare at her chest. But if it enables one an opportunity for advancement/being hired, I guess it doens't matter quite so much?
What? Women are not all the same? If you were told that your "rack" or "hoochie mamaness" was responsible for your being hired/promoted, would you be offended and refuse?
(I don't know why I've done this...I'd better employ the "duck and run" defense...and maybe take Bluto's advise and start drinking heavily.)

Hipocrasy is for the little people. Those of us who've got it really should flaunt it and use it, because if we don't take advantage of it, the next person will anyway. Don't get caught buying the advantage though, because then you're shallow and insecure and highly overrated.
Just knowing you got your job because of your rack is okay. As long as the woman gets what she wants, discrimination, harassment, or favoritism is okay. If the woman doesn't get what she wants, well, that would be the time to make a stink, maybe file suit or press charges. I mean, it's only wrong if it hurts me, right?

K31---well, I guess there "can" be a bad side to good looks, but honestly it doesn't sound bad enough for me. Sometimes I get discouraged that I have to work so hard for everything. There's always looking at the bright side that "at least you know you earned it".....but sometimes it would be nice just to have something handed to me. Some of us aren't blessed with looks or personality--------don't tell my husband or kids though, they think I'm super!!!

Elkid, thanks for being so complimentary. I am not trying to be bitchy or whiny; I've just been thrown a lot of loops, mostly since I've moved here due to this issue . I agree that having a nice rack can get you in t the door, but ultimately in life it is brains that will keep you in the house.
If I sound a little defensive; I probably am. I don't know who I can trust down here at this point and I'd like to think that I once had a career because I had a few degrees, a CPA license, some common sense/native intelligence, and NOT because someone liked my face or my ass in a suit. OK, now that I've re-read this I AM a little defensive. I'm sick of people treating me like a piece of meat, and I guess that attitude comes with living in the Keys. I miss being able to trust people.
