by your favorite athlete make you feel about them?

No different? I HATE IT

A little disappointed? YEP

Wish they'd do more? NOPE

What about the TD celebrations in the endzone? SPIKE IT OR HAND IT TO THE REF. THE DANCES ARE ASSININE

Are they over the top? Do they offend you? Or are the merely fun? THEY'RE STUPID

What about bragging? YOU BETTER BE THE BEST AT WHAT YOU DO

No biggie because it's not bragging if they can do it? Or does it offend you? I CAN'T STAND TO SEE SOME JACKASS MAKE A TACKLE ON SPECIAL TEAMS AND THEN SPRINT AROUND THE FIELD BEATING HIS CHEST LIKE HE JUST WON THE GAME. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE PAID TO DO IS MAKE TACKLES.

Do you prefer humility in your athletes? NOT PARTICULARLY

Which athlete embodies the qualities you most admire and appreciate? EVEN THOUGH I'M NOT A BASKETBALL FAN I CONSIDER JORDAN THE ULTIMATE IN PROFESSIONALISM

Although, I'd add a few to the ultimate in professionalism: JJK, Joan, Greta, Frank, Lance, Pete, Andre, Wayne

Do coaches or owners set the tone? Do they care? Or does the team personality just lend itself/not lend itself to grandstanding?
I think coaches and owners are dealing with such spoiled children mostly in today's pro sports, they have a hard time laying down the law as they'd like in fear of contract-time or attitude problems. I mean it's just pathetic. I watched a newsclip the other night of nearby NFL training camp and seeing these 'duded' up guys pull up to the curb in no parking zones with their big decked out Suburbans and strut to practice swaggering with confidence that comes from their wallets and not their stats.

And quite often, those players with the best stats are self-effacing and humble.

I guess it's an era of self promotion, eh?
