I finally got done and got over  for a few years trying to make a relationship work, and am now looking for inspiration! (and hopefully a date here and there) Tell me, and the RR, how you met your spouse/partner/SO  type person.
And be honest, even if it was "embarassing."

I actually met her walking down the street in college. Lunchtime, she was with a mutual friend of ours (her roommate who I sang with in choir) and we said hello. We went on our first date roughly a year later (after both of us ended previous relationships) and I told my best friend after the date that I was going to marry her. Well, he shouldn't have bet me that bottle of Dom...it was tasty!

we both worked at american adventures/white water....it was when the park was open during the week but it was usually dead so a bunch of us would just sit around and talk....
well, the previous weekend had ended with me busting my then bf making out with another girl... a few weeks after that ended, matt (the current bf) was working with me and got pissed at our manager and quit. on his way out, he gave me his number and said to call him if i wanted to get together sometime...i lost his number between then and when i got off; found it in a trash can; and called him that nite...

Many many years ago, my now wife came up to the city Fire Station where I worked to get a lift home with a collegue of mine.
Well he was attending a long and protracted fire/incident and I just couldn't leave the poor girl waiting around could I?

On an ROTC recruiting trip for our University's detachment. We haven't been apart since. (I mean date each other exclusively and never broke up) By the end of our first week together we were already talking marriage.

I met Keith at work. The first time I saw him, I thought he was a babe. Then I found out he was married.  I continued dating the dummy I was dating for a few years then word got out Keith was getting a divorce. Poor guy was pretty broke up over it, so I helped make him feel better.  We've been married for almost 4 years now.

We met in a Manufacturing Managment class. The first night we had to introduce ourselves to someone next to us, and spend about 10 minutes getting to know each other. I REALLY wanted to meet the guy on my left. He was easy on the eyes and sitting right next to me. Unfortunately, the guy sitting about 4 empty chairs down to my right had no one to pair with and I got stuck with him. Literally. We've been married for almost 9 years.

Met my husband at our mutual workplace a little over 12 years ago, started dating right away. Lived together and had a couple kids before getting married almost 6.5 years ago.

We started work at the same place on the same day - October of 1979. We were in training class together for 6 months, and lived near each other. We started dating in May of 1980, and got married July of 1982.
