At a friend's wedding. Sixteen months later he was at mine.

I didn't know that about you Alan. (Not that there is anything wrong with it, of course. Wink )

Jerry and I met at a bar (small, little local tavern). He had just gotten off work as a bartender there. He knew the woman I was with and came over to say "hi". I liked his eyes. Smile That was 17 years ago and I still like his eyes.

We both went to UMass Boston (a commuter college) and I took the red line to school. One Tuesday afternoon, I was waiting for the train. While I was waiting a homeless man came running down the stairs yelling at me. I assumed he was yelling at me because I was the only one standing there. So I moved to the other side of the platform. Still waiting for the train. Then Steve started chatting to me. Chatting like crazy...I kept thinking where's the train? Why are all the crazies out today? Full Moon? He was still chatting. So the train comes and once I got in and moved away from him I started to think he was pretty cute. So on Thursday I stood in the same spot and no Steve. As it turned, out we were in eachother's chemistry class. He spotted me and a few classes later started to talk to me. And we started to date. Needless to say, I didn't do so well that semester in class. Too much chemistry elsewhere to focus on. naughty

Met Mrs. PackerBacker in law school. We were in the same section during 1st year. After being in class for almost a semester, I asked her out and she said "no." Not "maybe some other time," but "no." After a few days, she must have hit her head or something, cause she then asked me out. We dated throughout 2nd year and were married at the start of 3rd year.

My wife has recently denied all knowledge of the cursing part but...

We met in a hangar at the old Myrtle Beach AFB in SC. She was on the women's drill team from my old college organization. (Pershing Rifles)

I met her after her team had performed their routine and she was putting the sabers back into their carry cases - some cursing was evident. We went on a date that evening and the rest as they say, is history (March 30 was the 30th anniversary of our meeting)

We married 4 years later.

To answer the question - it just happened. Deep inside we knew this was going to be it.

We met in high school. My sophomore year I dated his best friend and actually set him and my best friend up on a double date with us. They didn't hit it off, and I eventually dumped his friend. But our groups of friends all hung out together sometimes and I got a huge crush on him. My junior (his senior) year we started dating and the rest is history. We spent 5 years apart during college, saw other people some and broke up for a semester. When we saw each other for the first time in a few months after breaking up we knew we'd been idiots and got back together for good. We got engaged my senior year of college and married the summer after my first year of law school....now 7 years and a kid later we are happier than ever. I can't even imagine life without him (ok I'll stop gushing now)

So unfortunately unless you want to go back to high school, my method is out of the question. Wink

She was in the holding cell across the hall and I was being booked on charges of impersonating a priest while attempting to solicit donations. It was love at first site.

PS - I'm back. Post more later.

Had to take whiney younger brother to a skating party in Cortland, Ohio the day I broke up with then-current boyfriend. Hated the world, its male inhabitants in particular.

He was there. He was 3.5 years younger, but he was confident and adorable and hit on me and wouldn't go away even when I told him I thought he was a moron.

Okay Okay...

He's was a Coolrunner. I was a Coolrunner. So we had seen eachother and interacted by posts and e-mails. Then he broke up with his girlfriend and I broke up with my boyfriend at about the same time. We needed a shoulder to cry on, so we both offered eachother our phone numbers to use when things got a little rough.

Then he mentions an airshow in PA that I think Ian will dig. So, I said that I wanted to go. He did everything possible to make my stay the very best and we just hit it off while I was in PA.

No end in sight.

We were predestined to meet since the day we were born.

We each just had to go thru our individual "trial by fire" first, so we could appreciate how special we are together. Mr. Green
