Playing Portugal in soccer.
1st olympic team for Iraq since 1988 and they upset a favorite in Portugal

how are people going to politically spin this.

I want to ignore most of the spin, from either direction, but i just think it is awesome they are getting a chance to play without the threat of torture hanging over their heads.

It's great that they picked up a big win.

They were in Sydney four years ago. This is the largest team they've had since 1988.
