i lived vicariously thru my daughter this weekend. Confused

she scored her first goal, against an "unstoppable" goalie from Brazil on the opposing team. the entire sideline cheered. she kicked it from 20 feet back, over his head, into the back corner of the net. Mr. Green Mr. Green she played the entire game, forward, and all i kept hearing is "who is that girl" Mr. Green "She can fly" Mr. Green

she played her recital piece yesterday on a grand piano. she was last in the line up and NAILED IT perfectly. after the recital, teacher gave a "merit" award for the most enthusiastic, improved, best attitude student...Her name was called. i really blinked 'em back for that. Mr. Green Mr. Green

now, i think i have bronchitis. Mad Mad

Mr. Green 10

Overall Very Happy

Friday- finally completed refinishing a dresser for the girls (12 and 10 year olds) room and actually got them to clean their room too. thumbs up thumbs up

Saturday- Nick cruised through his belt advancement test and earned himself a trip to Toys R Us Very Happy
Sat Nite- went to a b-day party for a friend of Pebbs, it was great seeing a lot of old friends from Pebbs running group. We spent a couple of years being extended families at weekend races and haven't done that as much over the past 1-2 years. So it was great catching up with everyone.
Her friend turned 50 and got some great jag gifts (a walker was the best/ also a lot of underwear jokes--don't know what it is with runners and underwear jokes) Wink

Sunday- after a nice morning run with Pebbs thumbs up
We decided that the day was so beautiful that we would take Nick to his first Pirate game. He had the greatest time-even though it was the Pirates. PNC Park has got to be the best park in the country.
Everywhere you sit you smell the grills cooking and the sitelines are terrific. BIG thumbs up

Had an unexpected trip to western PA to visit some relatives. Went to a soccer game that their little girl was playing in. Ended up sitting next to this insane-psycho woman who kept telling everyone that her little darling was the next Mia Hamm. Every single time her daughter got the ball it was Dancing Banana and fubby Her daughter did score a goal and by the way the mother was acting, you'd have thought that she kicked the winning goal in the World Cup finals.
