Maybe, but I doubt it. How about Mardi Gras Marathon, 2/27?

Houston? Do people run there? Won't that interfere with your half in Feb.? Why not move up your training and do Sunmart?

This would interfere with the February half. That, of course, is the most important race evah!

Cheryl,
Are you going to do the 20K this weekend? I am running the full marathon this year so I am going to do the warm up series which starts with the 20K. Are you running Houston this year?

Hello again!!
No, I'm planning to only do the half so I'm not running the 20K (they really should put a 1 loop 10K with it...) Keep in touch, I'm sure to be there in January....Great to see you!

You're so nice, thanks! I'll still poke my head in here but I haven't posted in a while.
My sister is running the half for her first time this year. I wanted to get a marathon under my belt and then I think I will back off and try to get faster. I am still pretty slow. Well I'll be sure and check in again and see if maybe we can catch each other at a race.

You say that like there's something wrong with that! (just don't do Cowtown...you were the only spectator there!)

Well I posted a reply and got some kind of error or something so if I post 2 almost the same messages ignore one.

Hi Kathleen!
I still think you looked awesome when I saw you on the course at your marathon. I was really surprised you didn't feel really strong.
I am going back to Ft Worth for the Cowtown next year! BUT only the 5K this time. I have 2 Aunts that started running and wanted to do the 5K so I'm going to run with them. My sister (who started running this summer), my kiddo and I are all coming up for the 5K. Then we will watch the marathoners. I wasn't sure how many they would have this year since they added the Half. Are you going to run any races at Cowtown?

Alan ~ I am still signed up for the 5k but I'd love to do a longer distance. I signed up with a couple of my Aunt's and they can't go beyond the 5K though. Atleast I'd have plenty of time to sit and wait for the Marathoners. That was the most fun last year anyway.
Cheryl ~ Are you doing any part of Houston? It's sneaking up now only a little over a week left. I don't think any meeting place had been set up but I'd like to say Hi if you'll be there.

Thinking of the half, or the relay.

I signed up for the 1/2, then training went out the window. I think I've convinced my roommate though it would be a fabulous idea for her to run with my bib. we'll see. Anyway, whether she runs or not I'll be cheering from the sidelines....

Cheryl,
Well shoot sorry to hear about your training. My sister is not prepared for it either but has decided that even if she walks it she refuses to change to the 5K or wait another year. I'm not sure that is such a good idea myself but it's her race. I hope the weather turns out nice! I'm so ready for next weekend at this point I just want to get it over with.
Good luck to your rommate if she runs ~ sounds like a fabulous idea to me!
Rachel
