PH and I have a friendly wager going on who will be the first to go under 19 minutes in a 5k race.... neither of us has a race coming up until sometime in April so it'll be a while before any times start rolling in. We figured we'd give y'all something to do with this.... name the horses, place your bets, whatever your beady little minds can conjure up. I'm personally putting my money on PH because he's got 11 years on me and he's more of a fanatic BUT I won't go down easy! Evil or Very Mad

I only started the little 'bet' between Rob and I because I know he's closing in on a sub 19 pretty quickly. Jrjo's profile shows a 16:12 5K Shocked and I think EL is in the 18-19 range already.

I'm sure Sue could kick my butt in a 5K too.

Cripes. Jrjo is already a horse if he's running in the 16's!

We could let anyone in the race who has yet to run a sub 19 5k I guess.

dunno when Jrjo did that 16 min 5k. The race we ran together he was hoping for a sub 20 (and missed it by 1 sec I think). I'm guessing the 16 min one was from his long lost youth?

B.C. .... before children?

Anyhow, if he joins this competition, my moneys on him..he only has a couple secs to drop. Very Happy

Ok RR, I'll try to win one for the old farts. I may have to resort to alterior methods though because as we all know.... old age and treachery will always overcome youth and talent....
