anyone else not have one??????? Sad

that's what happens when you marry a poor medical student (he actually borrowed money from a former professor to buy my engagement ring) and your own savings actually paid for you wedding.

I agree & disagree RR. We are planning 2 weeks in Costa Rica for our HM next summer and we can't wait. As I'm in my mid 30's now (i.e. more established financially) and I personally view this trip as one last major vacation before "settling down" with wife/kids (and perhaps graduate school). So I'm going to "splurge." But I have this luxury because I'm established financially, not to mention that my fiance's parents are generously picking up most of the tab for the wedding. If we had to pay for a higher percentage of the wedding ourselves, I think I would be curtailing my honeymoon expenses/trip.

I go agree that many young newlyweds burn $50 bills like they are going out of style. But that is the wedding industry in general, not just specific to the honeymoon.

We went to Washington DC for the 82nd Airborne Association 50th Anniversary-just me, my husband, and 49,999 of my closest paratrooper buddies.
Of course, I tell my husband that I am planning on spending our 50th Wedding Anniversary at the 100th Anniversary of the 82nd Airborne, and I get to dance with all the young troopers! After all,I'll only be like 74 or so!!
