What are your plans for Thanksgiving?
Will you have dinner at your house?
Or at a relatives house?
And how about Christmas?

Thanksgiving will be spent with the inlaws in TN. Christmas is still up in the air on whether or not we'll be going back to TN or staying in GA.

What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Lunch at Max Meyer's Hartland Inn with my Aunt, Dad, Brother and his girlfriend. Dinner at Tracy's Aunt's house. Same as every year.
Will you have dinner at your house? No dinner at our place. Hopefully several years from that yet.
Or at a relatives house? um, yes.
And how about Christmas? Used to drive down to FLA with my bro and dad to my GPs, but since marriage, we go to Tracy's other aunt's. We usually have Christmas with my family in Jan or Feb.

My mother and step-father are coming out here for Thanksgiving and I am so looking forward to it. I have the menu all planned out already, so all I have to do is cook.

There, then there, home, then there, home, home, there, and ending at home. Yeah...lots of miles between 11/28 & 1/1, everyone wants to see how the kids have grown.

I thought this was going to be about the movie with Holly Hunter, which, as I've said, can be similar to what my holidays are like. But hey, its never boring? Wink

I'm not married so it makes things easier, and since my bf is from a divorced family and puts ~100 miles on his car both Thanksgiving and Christmas, I think we'll just agree to see eachother the day before or after!

Thanksgiving with members from all sides at my parent's house, I'll be bringing desserts and appetizers.

Christmas also at my parent's house. Christmas dinner, I was told by my mother last night that I'll be cooking. Shocked She's retiring she says. Which she's more than earned but...it will probably be for ~20. Ask me if I'm excited? Actually I don't think it will be terrible and my sisters will probably jump in to help. I love this part of the holidays. Shopping I could do without but the cooking and family are great.

Thanksgiving at my house. My parents, sister, sister-in-law, a friend of my wife's and her two kids..and who knows who else. We throw open out home for whoever needs to be someplace for Thanksgiving. We just make a ton of food.

Christmas we go to my parents home in Fort Worth.

Well, for the first year in about 12, I won't be cooking a turkey and having guests.

Going to Charleston, SC to meet the B/F's family. We will have dinner there. I am a little nervous about this but I am sure they are nice people.

Christmas - We will be here. I am not sure if we are staying in the city or renting a cabin in the woods yet.

Thats actually what sparked the assignment....she asked me for suggestions since we're probably having a huge crowd, including some more and less disabled relatives who need some of their own care, thus taking away from meal prep. I said "How about cranberry pork roast, its easy?" she said "Sounds great, why don't we make my Christmas gift from you, you making it for us??" Okay!

Its actually really easy (crock pot and thus TENDER) and MUY tasty (if you're into pork...). I'll probably make mashed new potatoes with garlic, steamed brocc with lemon butter sauce, angel biscuits (a biscuit with yeast basically) and pumpkin cheesecake. I think. I'll take suggestions!
