Yep. That's right. My radiator for my truck has sprung a leak.
I was jump starting a friends car when I noticed the smell. I got it home, started trying to figure out the source when I found a crack down the side of the radiator. I'm now in the process of pulling it out and will probably spend $$$ to get it repaired or replaced. No, I don't think $$$ is enough. It's probably going to be $$$$$$.

A new one should be under $200 if you install yourself.

Radiators are easy to replace. The last time I did it (over 10 years ago on a 78 Cutlass), it was dark and raining and I still managed to get it in right.

What stinks about what you're saying is...
1) I probably could not change out a radiator in my van to save my life...and you have.
2) I could not change a flat tire on a bicycle for that matter...and you can do that as well.
What's wrong with this?

Noley:
Changing radiators on cars from the 70's is a relatively easy job. Disconnect the hoses, the fan shield, and about 6 bolts and voil'a. Chaging a radiator on a front wheel drive from the 90's on is well nigh impossible.
I've learned the hard way sometimes its much cheaper and less aggravating just to let someone else do it...

Don't forget those automatic transmission lines that never want to come off easily.

Raincoat, eh? Is that what we're calling them now.
Any man who needs a flashlight should go back to fifth grade health class.
