A new one should be under $200 if you install yourself.

Priced one last night at $268.

I am doing the work myself. I have the hoses off and am working on the oil cooler lines right now. I should have it out tonight. I hope. Sad

I may have my truck back by the weekend. Sad

'96 S-10 2wd with the 4.3L Votec V-6. I think the engine code is a X. I don't think there is a difference between the parts for the X and the W.

You can save $100 if you can take the time to buy on-line.

Just called a radiator shop. They said from how I described the problem, if I bring in the radiator, they can fix it for $65.

Yay! Now I just have to get it out of the truck.

Maybe I just won't use a radiator? I mean, what chance do I have of it freezing right now? I don't need my heater so why have the water flowing through it? And who needs coolant? The oil will take care of that right? Wink

Gearheads: I'm just kidding. I know the importance of a radiator. Smile

Finally got my old radiator out Sunday evening. Bought a new one that night and had my truck running within a couple hours. Smile

Now my truck is back to 100%. Smile Off to tear up the roads!
