As for the "pretty faces" I won't be meeting or dating any of them in this lifetime so I really don't care.

I agree wholeheartedly. They're people. They do a job, they entertain us. Why do we then go futher, until we want to know everything about them, from what toothpaste they use, to who they're cheating on their spouse with this month?!
When firemen douse a huge building and save 10 people, how come I never hear about it? When a 6-person car wreck comes into the ER and everyone's fighting to save their lives, how come we don't have end-of-the-year awards?
People are out there every day doing important and exciting and dangerous things, and all we seem to care about in this country are singers and actors.

I despise Hollywood and all it stands for. Why in the world would anybody care if jennifer lopez has a diamond on her finger or madonna wrote a kid's book?

Was it just me or did they really get annoying after 9/11?
I could care less about them. Sure they could help to raise money for the victims of 9/11, but they really hit me wrong after that whole thing.
All I could care about were the people who died, their families and all the true heros out there trying to make a difference.
Somehow I kept hearing the Hollywood people telling how it affected them...when it wasn't about them at all.

I completely agree with this. It annoys me when the media interviews movie stars and singers about their political opinions. Yeah, we'll all be able to sleep better at night knowing what George Clooney and the Ditzy Chicks think about the war in Iraq...
Now, I care very deeply how Crazy Mary feels about these things...

now that's not fair. some stars are perfectly intelligent.
however, just because you're a star doesn't mean you know everything about anything, and i fail to see why the press needs their opinion on everything.
anyone that feels the need to sound off *just* because they can without having anything intelligent to say should be shot.
oh, and beniffer? please. that's bloody pathetic. i wouldn't pay a dollar to met Jennifer Lopez. the size of her ring doesn't interest me.
as for the press.. whatever happened to normal interviews with people? why is it all scandal? yeah it's fun to know that Kate Hudson is having a kid. but it should be about fun. not who cheated on who, who's seeing who and all that useless crap.
take your paycheck, entertain me, and shut your cake hole.
ps. celebrities are more than entitled to their privacy, their paycheck doesn't give us the right to violate their lives. let them make sing/act/dance, and let us watch and listen. life would be better that way.
