What should I see when I go there Wednesday? My brother and I are going to go. I'd like to have things planned out before we set out.

Melrose...Santa Monica (I ran to the pier yesterday on an 8.5 mile run)...Malibu sounds nice.
What about a tour of star's houses? Would I need to get a set of binoculars, long burmuda shorts, straw hat, large sunglasses to look like a real tourist freak?

Renaissance hotel lobby is supposed to be a throwback to the 70s and very cool.
You have to have a picture with the sign behind you.
See if you can find a premiere and one red carpet!
