I had one bad Xmas party while working in a restaurant during college.
Since I started working at the current place you can count on this one female shop supervisor getting hammered and hanging all over everyone.
She is classic.

One year at my husband's work party I was talking to a guy he works with about how I felt my husband wasn't getting paid enough for everything he is expected to do...well, I guess the President and Vice President of the company were very nearby...my husband never lets me forget. I think he was more embarassed than I was...but I still think what I said is true!

Ours is always mid week and ends quickly after the meal is over. No time for embarrassing shenanigans. But I kind of think there is a reason for the current arrangement, ie, an out of control employee one year or some such, and considering my ultra conservative firm, thats a story I'd like to hear....

My office crew is pretty subdued but we're adding in an additional crew of younger folks this year so maybe something fubby will happen. I've got the Gregcam scheduled for Saturday night.

While in college, I worked at a bank. The average age of the employees was around 29 and most of us were single. Every weekend and a few nights of the week we were out at the bar partying with each other. This made for lots of interesting stories to go around. We had a company outing at a Brewer game one summer with a nice spread of food and drink before the game. I over indulegded a little bit was there was a lot of shenanigans to be had. Luckily there was always some of the middle management that would out do the younger crowd so they were the gossip the following week. I miss that place... :sigh:
