Last week was the big "box it up" at our house. On Friday, I took the tree to the chipper. Right now it's likely fueling a boiler over at the mill. Kinda strange how bare the house looks without the lights, garlands & such. How 'bout you?

It's all sitting in boxes waiting for me to put it up in the attic. I was going to do it last night, but I was home alone.

Done, the day after Christmas. Because of Abby and JJ being allergic to the tree, we took it down, Christmas night. Put up in attic on 27 December. No worries until next year.

we really try to live according to the seasons of the church year, and Christmas is 12 days, so there was no way the tree was coming down until after the 12th day! Monday was Epiphany and i was planning on taking the tree down then, but it didn't happen. Evenings have been and will be busy until Thurs, so that is the earliest it will get done.

I once tried keeping a tree up that long and that water well under the trunk wound up smelling and looking like the Twelve Days of Penicillin!

Everything is still up.
I am personally blaming Marcus. If we didn't have a baby, we'd have it all put away by now.
...Yeah, that's the ticket.

I put almost everything in boxes last night. Just need to find the right box for a few knick-knacks. Husband will take the tree out of the house today (and hopefully vacumn).

I thought the tree was going to get taken down while I was at work on Monday. That didn't happen. We'll see if it happens today.

2 days after New Years...DONE! There's a brittle, thristy tree still in our front room, though, that will be stripped to its birthday suit if the cat tries to climb it one more time.

We put our stuff up the weekend after New Year's. Otherwise we'd just put it off and put it off and be the annoying people all the neighbors are talking about in June with the lights still up....

Oh definitely!! I did all that New Year's Day in between cooking. House looks much neater now. I couldn't wait to get it all down and the house back to normal, Scrooge I am.
