They started arriving already. 
The news had a piece on retailers starting now, even earlier then usual to trick us into spending more. 
Can I return 3rd class postage to sender?

2 christmas catalogs for LL Bean in the past month
1 from Hershey's Chocolate 3 weeks ago
1 from Popcorn Factory last week
2 from VS this week
1 from Disney this week
And 1 yesterday from American Girl Dolls Considering my youngest "girl" is now 13, I doubt I'll need this one

My 3-yr old toured the post-office yesterday. I asked what he saw there...his reply.. "garbage".
You think we get a lot of catalogs and junk mail??!

No.
You have not seen the full tide of catalogs. They are just starting to peak. As an example each pallet of Victoria's Secret Catalogs weighs about one ton. We process about five of them every time they send one out. That is just one catalog.
Right now I think there are about 5 LL Bean catalogues out.
