Me: my linen closet will never be as neat as my mother's. Nor will the rest of my house ever be as neat as my mother's. 
Math. I will never be as good at this as my dad is.
And I REFUSE to re-use straws.

My house is cleaner than my mother's ever was
- not be adventurous and try new recipes
- hang anything outside on the clothesline
- have children (stepchildren don't count)
- not take vacations even though I have the money to do so
- be afraid of authority figures

I dunno. My parents were pretty good people and parents. The only thing that's really different between them and I is a) I live in a city and they live in a supah small town and b) we have different hobbies.
