Yoo Hoo - Rolling Rock

I'm just peeking in to see if I can find Rolling Rock.

Are you going to do the Clarion Half again this year? Want to see if we can find each other?

I can't wait for Spring!!

Yes - That's the one - April 6th. Are you running it?

Is anyone else running this race?

Oh man, don't know if I'll be in shape for a half by April 6th. Think I have a 4 mile race scheduled that weekend. I'll have to check into it.

Huh? Does this mean you can't run it? Oh No!! This race is the only thing that keeps me going through these awful months of snow, and wind, and more snow. Enough Already!!

I think the website is www.clarionriverhalfmarathon.org but applications are in the mail.

I'm going for 1:50 this year!!

Thanks for the link! I've been debating on whether or not I'll be ready to do Clarion. Confused
They have some great pictures on the website from past races!
I saw a ton of people I know.

Come on everyone - Do Clarion - It's so beautiful and I would love to have a chance to hang with this cool crowd for a while!! Very Happy

And they do have the 5K again this year if the half is too long.

RR - Yes my son is still running. Since December he has been running with me 5 days a week and I think it is REALLY helping my pace. He is going to Spain for a short exchange program in the spring so will be missing the Clarion and a couple other races but he will be back in time for track season. I'm expecting some serious improvement from him this year.

I'm also glad you have confidence in me to do 1:50 - I think it's a little aggressive of a goal but who knows??

Pebbles - come on to the race. I don't know if you've done this one before but it is my inspiration all through the long, snowy winter!!

Looks like another run through knee-deep snow tonight!

I've done Clarion 3 times. '95, '97, and in 2000. I would love to do it again, but with all this darn snow I'm really behind on my training. Confused
So, weather will play a huge factor on if I will run any half this spring.

Okay you guys - I'm going to be there. If anyone decides to go and wants to meet up for a pre- or post- race check-in let me know.

Pebbles, I know what you mean about the snow - it was knee-deep last night on the sidewalks but the road was sooooo slippery I was scared to death. Oh well - I slogged it out anyway.

Robp - it's only 13.1 miles and it's not too hard till you get to that tiny, little hill at 12.5 miles. (RR and Pebbles will know of which I speak Wink ) I think you should give it a try!

If I go I'll just run the 5k. I checked the times from last years 5k and I can be very competitive in my age group and I've never taken home any hardware from an out of state race (well never ran in an out of state race either...). I'm afraid if I run the half I won't have sufficient recovery time for my 4 miler the following weekend that I've been trying to place in for a very long time.
