Ummm, I don't want to offend, or be out of line or anything, but a suggestion or two.
1. I think if you enabled the pm's some of the regulars might come back. I can't speak for others, but I would visit here more.
2. I remember you saying you wanted the site to grow...basing my observations on the forum...it ain't growing. Remember when you asked for people's suggestions? I'd review that list.
3. The Banned members. I'm not sure what went on, or what was said, by who. I didn't get, and won't get involved. But, a on line "community" is made up of people. When people who make up the community are no longer welcome...the community dies.
OK. I'm outtie. I have no problems with anyone...just wish the best for everyone involved.

Hey coachmarkos!

No, we won't be offended. Any suggestion how to improve our forum is appreciated.

There was a bad situation with PMs in the past. Some old members have sent links with links to other forums to other members by PM.
Also, almost all activity and discussion was transferred to PM.
That's the reason why this function is still disabled. We could enable it again, but first we must see some activity on the forum.

Yes. It's still our goal. I'm not glad this forum became ghost place with only spammers active.
We still have suggestions section and any of them will be appreciated.

Old members are already unbanned. So if they still want to participate in this community, they're very welcome.

Yes. Thank you again for your visit and suggestions.
Cheers!

I've got to be honest...I go where the crowd is. This place has died in my opinion. I couldn't care less what the site has and doesn't have but if the people aren't here then I'm not going to be here either. I came here today just to see if any "old timers" had posted here (oh...and because I was bored tonight...) that I could say "hi" to. I haven't been here in probably a month or more.
I think your reasoning for disabling the PM's is silly. I'm not a big PM'er but PM's are like emails; you'll find everything in them. I had some important information in my PM list like people's personal emails, addresses, etc. I'm not unhappy with this site because I have lost these things. I still know the people who I got them from and can contact them on the other forum. However, there are others who had information they really wanted to keep and now they can't get to it. I believe it was a rude move to disable them.
I think what Coach is trying to say about the suggestions is when you guys took over you asked the "old timers" for suggestions about how to improve this site. We made plenty of observations but it seems none (or very few) of them were given any weight. It might be a good idea for you to go back and review those items that were already suggested.
Coach - I'm not so sure I wanted to know that you were an "outtie" - "innie's" are so much better!

HI, Coach:
I too am sorry that this community "died" so to speak. I miss the people. I am not sure who was banned or why, but I'd like my Running Forums site back. Even though I can't run right now, I still like to discuss it and I miss everyone. Hope you and the kiddies are doing well.

so we arent allowed to talk about other forums?? who gives a rats patootie if people pm'ed eachother about other forums? where does/did it say that we werent allowed to do that?
personally, i have no desire to come back to this place. even if all the regulars came back, it still wouldnt be the same. or even a good different.
hope you are happy with your purchase!

Well what do ya know....I'm unbanned..
I guess I will watch and see who comes back. Perhaps we can reestablish the thriving community we once had.
A big to all my old RF friends and those who have "moved over here".
