Stopping in to say hello. The past year has been a whirlwind, new house, new job and all. Everything has been going great, I am up for a promotion at my job and it could lead to some travel ( I am going to be in Chicago in August). Anybody in Chicago up for a slow short run in early August?
After watching nearly 75% of the weight I had lost return with a vengence, and generally being disgusted with myself, I have started on the long climb back to fitness. I have more or less scrapped the idea of timing my runs right now (it wouldn't be pretty) and I am focusing on getting my stride and my wind back. After starting and stopping a few times since Richmond (I had never fully recovered from ITBS), I think this time it will stick. I feel the same kind of enthusiasm I had back when I first started and lost 50+ in less then 6 months. I have set no real goals yet, I just want to get myself on a regimine. I actually miss the Bronx because I had so many great loops!

Monk! Its great to see you! Sounds like things are going well for you, I hope the return goes well and the ITBS behaves, keep us posted on your progress when you can!
And let me know if Texas is on the travel itinerary!

Monkstah!!! Great to see you again! Howzabout some current pics of those cute little Monks???
Good to hear things are going well in the burbs. I hear you on the return to fitness thing.....it's always a slow climb but well worth it. Come join the Cannonball Run, maybe that will get you back into the swing again.

Thanks for the welcome back. I have been running about 2.5 miles a day and it is a slowwwww road back but I am determined to get back to my 3:30 marathon form. I am thinking of signing up for a half marathon at the beginning of October in the next town. Could be a pretty good goal.
