I saw much the same thing in Montreal PQ a few years back. It had what looked like about 10 riders and about 6 or 7 wheels. Funny thing it did not actually go forward in a straight line. The contraption moved forward in a circular manner. (Like a tornado I guess)

I saw this one on tv this morning and it actually goes forward. 1 person steers, everybody pedals.
