call me anti-social but i hate crowded movie theaters. hate 'em. they make me anxious and all those big headed people cruising the aisles looking for the SEAT IN FRONT OF ME makes me really anxious.
i will go to a weekday morning movie by myself and not feel any crowd anxiety and really get into the movie that way. i'm usually in the theater by myself or if i'm not, and the only other big headed person sits right in front of me, i can change my seat!!!!!!
i'd rather sit at home - less money - waaaaay more comfortable.
i do crave that movie popcorn though. there isn't anything like that stuff.

I do prefer the big empty theater, and go to a lot of movies by myself (differing tastes with the gf). However, a movie like Jackass is funniest in a packed theater.

Sure, DVDs are great. But going to the movies is better. It's got nothing to do with the size of the screen (it's what you do with it that's important) , but the big sound is a bonus. I think it's got a lot to do with nostalgia, too.

Yeah, when they finally re-released the Original Star Wars trilogy in the theaters, my friend and I HAD to go. Watching them 50 times on tape is one thing, seeing them in a theater is another.
Which is why i'm excited to see Alien in the theater in a month or two.

Although kicking back at home is just as fun too.

It's way more fun to neck in the back of a movie theater where someone might be watching.

I have no desire to mess with the crowd. Maybe if I had a date, but since I'm single, it just isn't worth it. | I go only once or at the most twice a year to the movies.
