Do parents give you crap about making their kids exercise? I remember overhearing my son's MCJROTC teacher cathing an earful because he was making little Billy run a mile during PT.

it's uncanny the grasp of the situation that rolling rock has.
I think she was a PE teacher in a previous life.

I've heard from 2 different parents already in the past 2 weeks because we sang a scary Halloween song, and now their kids don't want to go to sleep. oh, the song? here ya go:
There was an old woman all skin and bones,
Ooo, ooo-oo-ooo,
She lived down by the old graveyard,
Ooo, ooo-oo-ooo,
One night she thought she’d take a walk,
Ooo, ooo-oo-ooo,
She saw some bones a-layin’ around,
Ooo, ooo-oo-ooo,
She thought that she would sweep them up,
Ooo, ooo-oo-ooo,
She went to the closet to get a broom,
Ooo, ooo-oo-ooo,
She opened the door ….. and BOO!
Yeah, I'm sure that singing this song really caused some nightmares for them. The nightmares had nothing to do with what you allowed them to watch on TV just before they went to bed.

Why do they force you to go to these meetings now-a-days??
We've already met the teacher in the before the school year get to know you. Nichole got straight A's on her report card and excellent marks in behavior. Yet for the last week, everyday there's a note (not directed at us specifically) urging parents to hurry up and sign up for a conference!! Lets have 100% attendance!!
If my kid is having a problem I have no problem going to a conference to fix it, but for a well behaved A student? What's there to talk about? Maybe I'm a horrible parent, but why waste everyone's time??

OK here's Andy's responses for the Coach:
Lady your kid runs in PT class because the class is called "Physical Training" not basket weaving.
Lady if that "scary song" is the sole cause of your kids' insomnia then your family has major problems that need more help than this conference is designed for. You might want to think about what they're eating and what PS2 Game they're playing just before bed.
No mister your 7 year old is NOT the next Michael Jordan. In fact, until he can tie his own sneakers, you just need to make sure he works on the basics like not drooling.
Madam, your nine year old is world class little snot - not a world class athelete, that is why she got a B.
(At this point, coach is being escorted out of the school by angry administrators followed by angry parents with torches and pitchforks.)

I thought those parents liked to go and hear good stuff about their kids?......but then, I wouldn't know....I always get to talk to the parents of the kids having the most trouble.....
