Stuff in (or even near) my eyes = cannot process request as entered. | Same here, Pfff. And they don't make the coke-bottle lenses anymore - or at least I hope not. The vision in my bad eye (right) was at one time 20/200 - it's gotten much better, and my lenses were never real thick like that.
But it was real bad long enough where I had to learn to do archery and shooting left-handed. That's all I do from the left, though I'd give my right arm to be ambidexterous. |
wouldn't that defeat the purpose?

How bout some cheap sunglasses?
When you get up in the morning and the light is hurt your head
The first thing you do when you get up out of bed
Is hit that streets a-runnin’ and try to beat the masses
And go get yourself some cheap sunglasses
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Spied a little thing and I followed her all night
In a funky fine levis and her sweater’s kind of tight
She had a west coast strut that was as sweet as molases
But what really knocked me out was her cheap sunglasses
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
(solo)
Now go out and get yourself some big black frames
With the glass so dark thay won’t even know your name
And the choice is up to you cause they come in two classes:
Rhinestone shades or cheap sunglasses
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

I got the cheapest sunglasses you can imagine. Freebies from work that are supposedly safety glasses also. And it figures, since they were free I can't seem to lose or break them like every other pair I've owned.

OK..then howbout this earworm...
Clean shirt, new shoes
and I don't know where I am goin' to.
Silk suit,black tie,
I don't need a reason why.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
coz every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.
Gold watch, diamond ring,
I ain't missin'not a single thing.
And cufflinks, stick pin
when I step out I'm gonna do you in.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
coz every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.
Top coat, top hat,
I don't worry coz my wallet's fat.
Black shades, white gloves,
lookin' sharp and lookin' for love.
They come runnin' just as fast as they can
coz every girl crazy 'bout a sharp dressed man.

I would get both. If one is pissing you off, you can always switch to the other. I got glasses in 6th grade. Switched to contacts in 12th grade and wore them probably 95% of the time. By junior year I'd go 2 weeks with contacts, 1 with glasses. When I went backpacking, I brought only glasses. Since then (last June), I have worn contacts for a grand total of 1 week. But they're still nice to have, in case you need to wear sunglasses one day or you plan on getting hit in the face.
And for you people who can't stick stuff in your eye, it really is simple. I put it on the tip of the index finger, angle my head down while looking up, drop the lower eyelid with the middle finger and just place the lens against the white of my eye for a couple seconds, pull away the finger and the contact stays. Then just look down and it slides into place. It takes 15 seconds to do both eyes... tricky to learn but once you do, it's nothing at all. As far as getting them out, I do the pinch and I've never had trouble - it was much easier than getting them in when I first learned. But if you don't like that, you can pull the corner of your eye (as if you're doing your Chinese impression) and blink a couple times and it will pop out.
