I have a couple of calluses on my feet that are beginning to become an irritating nuisance.. Any ideas as to how to get rid of them (besides trimming them down ) ?

sand them down with an emory board or nail file......do NOT trim them!!!!!!

I cut and filed my callouses once and then got my feet nice and soft ----once!!!!! bring on blisters! I leave mine pretty much alone now and have joined the ranks of people with ugly feet Mad

Like RAS said - file them down with an emory board: NEVER cut them. Dr. Scholls makes a great apricot scrub-type foot lotion in their Pedicure Essentials collection that keeps them manageable, and not so ugly looking.

If you are worried about rough feet as well, lotion your feet really well and put socks on at night. It works.

True dat. I had some major callous issues on my feet and have them no longer. I bought some kind of cheap hand lotion made by suave and slop it on my feet at night and put on a pair of socks. Problem solved.

Just don't let your roommate see you doing that.
