Does anyone's business use a GPS system for either navigation or tracking? What features are particularly useful? What compaanies do you use/recommend? What doesn't work?
I'm researching it to both track staff and to provide directions/navigation for the them. It's a small company not a huge fleet. I'm not very knowledgeable about what capabilities might be available nor the range of providers.
I'm looking for the good, the bad, and the ugly... or just a nudge in a direction for information.

Many years ago, when GPS was new to me and I was in charge of shipping for this company, I called up Yellow Freight (because you couldn't schedule a shipment over the internet) and gave them the pick up info. They told me the truck would be there in just a few minutes because he was picking something up at the other end of our shared building.
Sure enough, I went to look out the dock door and his truck was about 4 bay doors down. When he did our pick up, I asked him how they knew where he was and he explained the whole GPS thingy to me.
Pretty cool!

if you hired all perverted ex-cons, you could use the frequencies of their ankle monitors to track 'em
