the stbx and i were able to work out an acceptible & flexible custody agreement, so we do not have to haul the kids into a custody hearing that was scheduled for this Friday 
1 obstacle down!

Well, thank heaven for small favors. When my ex and I went to court, they would not let Ian in the courtroom, which I appreciate.

Excellent! We managed to do the same, only after the x forced the issue by claiming she was going to have sole custody and I was only going to be permitted supervised visits. After a few interviews by a caseworker that included me, her and my son twice she determined there was no reason whatsoever he couldn't spend half his time with me.

I'm not sure that the waters are any calmer, considering what it took to get the agreement. We are working on a way of eliminating the biggest sticking point in the divorce agreement; with that eliminated, it should really just be a matter of paperwork.
