So I was walking to my next class this afternoon from anthropology when this dude (a student) whom I don't know and haven't seen in my life comes up and starts picking up a conversation with me...I felt kinda uneasy conversing with a total stranger especially when it's "out of the blue"..  but hey at least I know he's probably a high level nerd (he's in physics) and his parents are both scientists (geneticists)..really strange I know.. but at least I got to know someone new today...though really unexpectedly.. 
Anybody with other similar experiences with strangers?

yes, it happens to me all that time. And lots of time it's like freaky people. And why do I get people everywhere I go coming up to me asking me for help like I work there. And they don't even say "excuse me, do you work here, can you help me?" They just start asking about where is...........whatever. I.don't.work.here.

At my school it happens all the time. It may be that the school is so focused on "making connections" (it's a music college, after all) that people just don't think anything of it anymore. People will come up and be like "Hey I heard that show you played the other night. Want to go grab some coffee?" Or in the case of this one gorgeous girl I played a big concert with last semester, we still hang out/have lunch fairly often. Shh...don't tell my fiance.
