when you run??? now that it is dark for many of you that run after work.....do you change to running in the morning? Run on the treadmill? or run in the dark and hope you don't get hit?
How about those running(or working out 2xday) doubles? do you try to get both in during daylight?

I ran late yesterday morning. It felt very strange to be training in daylight. Truth be told, I prefer to run in the dark. Sunlight bothers my eyes and makes me tired.

I'll try to run outside less frequently but will still run in the dark.

There are plenty of items people can buy that will help to keep them safer at night. Reflector vests, belts or clothing items are readily available and should be worn so you can be more visible to drivers. I wear a reflector belt whenever visibility is limited.
Please note you can be running with reflective everything on, a strobe light on your head and some moron will still not see you...

I'm in the dark whether I'm running or just plodding thru life.

Somehow I do get up early for the club runs on Saturday morning, and for races. For the week, though, I don't know - I just don't know if I could handle early runs every day. Especially knowing what the traffic will be like when I do leave the house to go work at a later hour.
When I retire, maybe it'll be easy. Not now.

Aren't most if not all of your races during the day?

I was able to get a morning run in today with no problem.
I used the time change last year to shift to morning running. I plan to do mostly the same this year.

I run regardless of time/daylight/weather.

They all are during the day. That's why I made the distinction of TRAINING in daylight. When the sun's out, I do wear sunglasses. My eyes are just hypersensitive to light; have always been.

So when you get your race picture taken, you take off your sunglasses? A lot of your race pictures are sans sunglasses

The sun's setting doesn't impact me; I only run on the treadmill these days.

What, are you stalking me? But yes, when it's cloudy and overcast, I skip the sunglasses (aka when there's no glaring sun) because it gets annoying pushing them up and stuff. There's nothing more annoying than not being able to see through them because it's too dark, except for carrying them in my hand because it's too dark. I think I know the race you're referring to - it was an A to B and it was very cloudy a half hour before the race, so I left the sunglasses in my car at the finish. Of course that meant when I got the start the sun came out. OF course that meant I had a migraine for 4 days postrace as well.
Sun = bad. Cloudy and dark = good. I love doomy and gloomy weather.
