The group of guys I run with have all shared our marathon goals based on this calculator and one guy has offered to buy an Adult Beverage for each person that can beat theirs!

I could probably come pretty close to most of those times except for the marathon @ 3:20. I don't have that kind of endurance right now.

I've used the Team Oregon pace and calorie calculators a good many times. They have some decent articles on their site too. I think the best benefit of a calculator like that isn't so much to "predict" what you would race at a particular distance, but it is excellent for taking a recent race time and being able to benchmark. Too often I'll read someone saying they have no idea what kind of pace to use for a workout that is suppose to be at "marathon pace". Well if the calc says your 44:00 10km from last month's race is a 7:56 marathon pace, then you've got your workout pace. So few people get alot of different distance races in a year, it's good for using as a tool..no genies in bottles. it's up to you and your guts to slap down the actual marathon time.

If I come to FL can I collect? marathon prediction 3:01:28 actual 2:58:54.
Don't like that calculator.......calculates EZ pace WAY too easy.....if I had done my long runs at 9 min pace it would have taken a miracle to get a 3:01:28......if someone get a race results using long runs with that calculator they deserve a case of beer
