a great little race organized by the county food bank. nice warm morning after a night of hard rain.

find out there's some cross country in this we started in a field...it probably only amounted to .75 mile of off-road, but right before the "start" the starter tells us to not look for a PR on this course cuz they had to add another hill due to construction on one of the flat sections. lots of hills, of course, but the downhills were very wet and leaf-covered and slippery. it was run on a local college campus.

ok, i won't look for a PR, but i'll get one!! Dancing Banana i pushed myself on this one until i thought i might be hitting a wall in that last half mile, but i really refused to listen to my head cuz my legs felt ok, my stomach was kinda rebelling at one point (never happened before).

crossed the finish in 23:40 which is a PR by about 50 seconds.

i can't believe more people don't run this race. it is well organized and being it's sponsored by the food bank, there were tables of door prizes (lots of dvd players) that were donated, and lots and lots of post-race food including hotdogs with sauerkraut and tons of krispy kreme stuff...

so good.

I would think the hot dogs and Krispy Kremes would serve as a deterrent.

Great job on your PR. You're getting so fast!
