Harris Jacobs 8k race.
The Harris Jacobs 8k/race is on Sunday, June 05. This is an excellent race, exceedingly well organized, probably as well as the PRR with 54,700 less runners and a lot of fun - they have prizes for trivia games after the run, door prizes from your race number and very well stocked fruits, bagels and other assortment of refreshments after the race.
It's in Dunwoody close to Tilly Meal. If you register this week the race fee is only $15.00.

HHmmm...never raced an 8K before. Was planning on doing a 5K the day before, but I may switch that around.

I think you will find it well worth your time and effort to switch. 8k is 4.97 miles. Some runners talk a lot about a hill near the elementary school, but even the first year I ran this race I kept waiting for the big hill everyone was talking about. At best it's an incline. The course isn't flat but certainly not hilly. It's just enough to keep your legs in good shape the entire distance.
