I don't have a negative feeling about police officers at all. I like that they are out there doing what they do, and I feel better knowing that they are on the beat. My heart lurches every time I see one while driving (even when I'm not doing anything wrong), but that's no real problem.
I believe that there are far more good officers than poor.
But I would also feel very weird not stopping for an officer who requested (good officer) that I stop. Even at an inconvenience to myself. I'd feel nervous if I didn't stop. Then again, that may have something to do with my habit of running whilst carrying a television set under my arm.

i was at drill a couple of weekends ago and the colonel in charge told our training nco it was very hot outside and to make sure the troops hydrate...
so the nco made us run while carrying this huge cooler full of bottles of water

I've been stopped more times than I can count. Most of the time, it's well meaning police officers that know me and are just making sure I'm okay. Others give me a ton of hassle because of the times I run (before school, 4:30 or 5:30 am or after I finish homework at 11pm). I just prefer to think that they have my best interests in mind, and that they are just doing their jobs.
