I can't believe my little baby boy is 1 year old today!!!!!!! Time sure flies!!!!!
As much as I always knew I wanted to be a mommy, and as wonderful as I thought it would be, it was nothing compared to what it is really like. Every time I look at his face, I just melt inside. The last year has been full of so many changes and each one well worth having him in our life, and making us such a happy family. Being a mom is the greatest thing in the world, and seeing my hubby as a dad is a close second. There is really nothing I can say to describe how amazing this little boy is....his laugh, his cry, his sweet little smile, those big eyes, his curious mind and loud voice, he is absolutely perfect to me. My heart is so full now that he is in it.
One amazing thing I've found since having him is how much I feel I understand my parents now. How much closer I feel to them because I can truly understand how they feel for me, and that is an amazing thing to know and it makes me appreciate them so much more.
I am so excited for what the next year holds! Happy Birthday Hayden and many more to come!!!!!

I will always remember Ian's first birthday.
I invited everyone. I rented the Church hall. I put on this huge spread. I promptly came down with a stomach flu. So....
While everyone else was I was at home

Wait till he's a teen. Colin's behavior makes me cringe at the stunts I pulled on my parents. Oy! The guilt!! (I've called home and apologized more than once!!  ) But you are right--you understand the sacrifices they made and more often, the choices they made.
Congrats--you are truly blessed to know what a gift and treasure you hold, both in your son and your husband.
Happy BIRTHday to you too, Mrs Molly!!!!! And Happy birthday to the little guy.
