My final race of the year...though it's more for fun than anything else..I was pulled into doing this 3 weeks ago. It's basically a 100k relay with 8 of us running 8 different legs. (anywhere from 8k-15k) Each runner has to wear a wristband with a timing chip on it for the course of the leg and has to pass it to the next runner.
Fortunately I was the one picked for the final leg, which was the shortest and the fastest (~5 miles). In short our team finished with a cumulative time of 7:38 despite a few minor delays in the exchange areas and my time was 31:50...over a minute slower than my PR but I guess decent considering the strong headwinds on the course. Mad At least I still felt good while passing loads of runners on my way to the finish. I was relieved that it didn't rain or things could have been alot worse.
Anyways we had a blast...everyone on the team was so supportive for one another.
Postrace, we had a pool party at Harrison Hot springs (in the hot pool) and later had dinner and a few beers at a nearby pub. A great way to celebrate the end of another year of running.

4 weeks of slackin have flown by so quickly...next week it's back to base training again...
