When do you start decorating for Halloween?

Yesterday, October 1. 
The kids found enough leaves to fill 5 small pumpkin/frankenstein leaf bags, I hung up the cute pumpkin flag, and hung the 2 flowing ghosts in the trees!
We don't do any scary/yucky decorations. 
Is that a ghost or a doughboy?

we went shopping yesterday to find some stuff.
there are no halloween decorations out even though it is a month away. there are only christmas decorations out...in full force  i mean, kids have gotta be confused 
my daughter did her decoration thing yesterday. i threatened to put our homemade "ghost" wreath on the door today and she threatened me back. time to hang the wreath.

I put ours up yesterday too, all the fake stuff. We are going this weekend to get pumpkins and hay bails and such.
