The hair grows out and gets cut = temp
The wave = perm

I would not have been caught dead without a perm in the 80's. My how times change.

Resident hairstylist checking in.

They call it a perm because it breaks down the permanent bonds in the hair and restructures them.
Water breaks down the temporary bonds in the hair.

Thanks Janice. I knew there was a scientific reason behind. By the way I noticed it and it looks very nice, although she hates it.
