I've had every hair color that is found in nature, except black (I'm way too pale).
I've also had it from down to my waist to about four inches long. Bangs and no bangs.
The worst thing I ever did was the summer before my senior year of high school. My two best friends and I decided to use a semi-permanent color. My naturally light hair soaked up all the color and it wouldn't wash out. It was a deep purple-y red.
My mom, the former hairstylist, put some stuff on it to take it out but ended up bleaching it white. I had to dye it dark brown. My senior pictures look nothing like me!

I've been known to cut my hair like a boy every now and then.

The picture isn't me, but the haircut is one I've worn.

No two are the same, no? I'll bet her reflection is even different.

compared to you all I have been pretty conservative with my hair. some highlights though:
-the home perms of '87 and '89
-the haircut from my sister (that I don't remember asking for) that chopped over 12" off my long hair. Or at least most of it...
-any time I've ever attempted bangs. no.
-use of 'semi-permanant' color. See the various posts above on 'semi permanant' and coloring brown. No.
-And most bizarre, some swim team thing to shave the base of our neck, those bottom inch or 2 But I had really long hair, so you didn't see it until I put my hair up? I don't know why, I was 14.

I use to let my sister give me "Rave" brand perms all the time.
And when she entered beauty school I let her cut my hair during a storm when we lost power-not a good idea-I ended up with the asymetrical cut!!!

I've been bald (which I posted pictures of), I've had hair down past my waist (which I posted a picture of) and I've had a perm (which I posted a picture of).
I've only had a mohawk for a few minutes while playing around cutting my own hair.
Never colored my hair.

You *may* say...but it *may* be a lie.
Edited to say...the worst thing I ever did was cut my bangs...off...up to the hair line...Some day...some day...I'm gonna be able to have purple hair and wear flametoed combat boots...to work. |
The very first time I ever put any dye in my hair was about a year ago. I thought it turned out quite nicely tho.

Don't know that I've done anything outrageous. I have had my fair share of too-curly perms, and have stripped them out within days. I've colored my hair various shades of red (all which looked great with my pale skin and blue eyes) and am currently sporting an auburnish color with highlights. It looks good now. I'm lucky that I have thick hair and layers, so I can do just about anything with it.
I did let a couple girlfriends cut my hair in high school, a couple of the cuts were great, a couple were not. I don't look good in short hair.
I did go through a phase in highschool where I used that colored mousse. My girlfriends and I used pink a bit, esp. on game nights. I don't know what I was thinking.
