Good luck, and stay safe! Are you going to stay or evacuate? Are you stocked up on water and non-perishables? Boarded up? All things to do while there's still time...

It's a pain in the ass, I know, but as much as preparing for these last two really sucked I'd rather be safe than sorry...

I am staying put. It isn't expected to be bad at all here. Gusty winds, probably 30-40 mph, and locally heavy rain. I just went to the store and got some milk and hurricane mix. I will fill up some jugs with water and buy some ice tomorrow. I'm not boarding anything up, we're too far removed to really go all out with it.

They were out of water... I felt like the guy in the Heineken commercial where everyone is scrambling to get whatever they can and all he has is the 6 pack of beer.

I also stopped at Barnes and Noble to make sure I have something to read to keep me occupied.

Everyone knows the only days that school should be out are snow days. You get some snow down there, and come talk to us about it. Razz

It's a fruity daquiri kind of drink popular in New Orleans, especially on Bourbon Street. When the storms come this way, people have hurricane parties and everywhere is sold out of the stuff.
