Posted: 01/07/04 - 09:13 Post subject: Grocery Store Pet Peevs
I was inspired to create this or a low carb topic......
felt this was safer...
swing away folks
It burns me when I go to the store...... to buy TP and:
1. There's rows and rows of TP.
2. TP in different color (yeah like I really care about pink or beige)
3. The double roll is a little more than twice the price of a single roll
4. Oh and made with ....."recycled paper" WTF....!!!!....it is paper.

Don't even get me started on the secented or unsecented

Something about recycled toilet paper that just isn't right.... oh wait, it's made from recycled paper and not recycled tp...
People that block the entire frickin' aisle while they peruse every single brand, size and compare prices of whatever item is on their list. Just get the hell out of my way.

pretty much anyone in my way, or in front of me in line.
Mostly though, the people who count out exact change from their little coing purse.

My irritant is when they put so much stuff out on display and block the aisles with it. It's hard to move the carts around and get around things. It makes it impossible to get around people as well. I think it's the store's ploy to keep me there longer than I really have to be.
Most of these "nice displays" also have items that are made of glass. I love trying to avoid hitting them each and every single time.
Just keep it all clear and quit putting it all out there for me to hit.

Not just the grocery store but any store. People writing checks!!!! Get a flippin check card people!!!! But what is worst is that they sit around watching everything get scanned and once the cashier is done they start to write out the check.

All the aforementioned things bother me. In addition, people who forget that they have to PAY for their items, don't begin writing a check until they know what they are paying. If I write a check, I've already got the "pay to the order," date, and signature filled out--I do that while they're ringing up my items. And if they're not writing a check, they wait until it's been tallied get out their pocketbook or wallet. It's like they expect to be the millionth customer and this bill is on the store. Honeslty. Be a little bit proactive or prepared.
Outside the store, I get peeved when people don't let pedestrians through. I make it a point to not try to run down peds. Maybe it's just me? Southern hospitality my A$$.

"IS PLASTIC ALRIGHT FOR YOU??!!"
shut up, scrubby high schooler.
Along with what morpheus said...there's just too many damn options nowadays for every stinkin product. (there's a good Calvin y Hobbes strip on that where the Dad wigs out trying to buy peanut butter)...

My pet peeve is that grocery stores are supposed to be a great place to meet women, but actually aren't! Well, once I did meet a nice looking woman on the pasta aisle who helped me pick out spagetti sauce, but I was in a relationship at the time.

I hate it when people take bagels out of the bins with their hands. Hello-don't you see the tongs?

A place where it takes more time to make a decision, than amount of opitions of product.
How long does it take to make a "cheese" tray for crying out loud!!!

A big fat one to that! I was at the local Barnes and Noble the other day and I couldn't believe all the women around. I need one of these in WB.
