You want to meet the ladies? You go to a book store!
Man, do I have to EVERYTHING around here??!!! |
A big fat one to that! I was at the local Barnes and Noble the other day and I couldn't believe all the women around. I need one of these in WB. |
that was my favorite place to hang out as well back in the day...I had some good lines like 'So, you like books, eh?'

Does outside the store count?
I have very few pet peeves in life, but not putting the carts back in the cart corral is one of them.

I met a lady at the grocery store once. She was on the isle with the generic brands. Her name was "Woman".

If something goes wrong, you don't have the same (banking) rights if you use a check card (versus a paper check). It maybe faster, but you lose control of the transaction if the retailer double bills the account (for example). Credit cards offer more protection.

So this is why Mr Poky is always wanting to go to Barnes and Noble.

One word: People. I dislike it when the store even has a few people in it. That's why I'm trying to go at 4am now.

I used to do that when I was in college and before I had kids...shop in the middle of the night. That made things easy.

Outside the store, I get peeved when people don't let pedestrians through. I make it a point to not try to run down peds. Maybe it's just me? Southern hospitality my A$$. |
This is also a peeve of mine--but also the pedestrians who walk down the middle of the lane, meandering their way to the store--while you are forced to follow them with your car because it's taking them a coon's age to get past the space you would like to park in. (And this is young, healthy, clueless people--not aged or infirm)
Or the people who look at their receipts as they leave the store and meander across the lot.
Get out, get across, get in your car, and leave. Save your meandering for home.

1) The math challenged at the express checkout...."What? You can't count to ten? Here, let me help you."
2) The cashier at the express checkout who allows the math challenged to go through and pay...
3)...by check...in the express line! "Why does the concept of "express" elude you?"
4) The shopper who parks his/her cart on one side of the aisle and stands directly across from it, looking at items on the other side of the aisle, thereby blocking the entire aisle...with people trying to go both ways in that aisle.

Let's see...people who park the cart in the middle of the aisle.
Food displays all over the store, makes an obstacle course look easy.
Different locations of the same chain store having a different lay out.
Stores changing where things are.
Illogical placement of food...I spent 15 minutes looking for fried onions the other day and could not find them anywhere...except in the meat section at the back of the store

Y'all are some bitter people. I rather enjoy going to the grocery store myself. Do any of you ever have attacks of shopping cart rage?
