I just feel like I need to post this because of what all happened!
Friday I was supposed to drive out to Pittsburg to meet up with Pebbles, BamBam, and another person.  Ended up having to work until 5 so I slept a few hours and left my house at 1am Saturday morning. Drove non-stop to Pittsburg in order to run the JASR (see race report).
After JASR, I went to a college buddy's wedding which was very, very nice.
Likes:
* Program booklet had reasons behind parts of the ceremony
* Priest talked about the roles of the husband and wife
* Slide show before the wedding
dislikes:
* When the priest says he may kiss the bride, afterwards, Zach (my college buddy) turned and says "Yes". 
Went to the reception and then back to my hotel.
Sunday spent brunch with Pebbles, BamBam, their family, and another person. Was supposed to meet Sahara but she had some silly thing like family visiting????
Monday drove over to pick up my gf. During the 6.5hr drive I got a call from my new employer. Turns out that even though I don't officially start until June, they want me to be able to respond to emails 24/7 now. So now I'm back on the job search. Picked up the GF and drove an additional 4hrs to get home. Yes that's about 10.5 hrs of driving.
So short recap: Drove over night, ran a race, went to a wedding, hung out with people, got let go from a job I hadn't even started, and did many, many miles of driving.

wait, what? Instead of kissing the bride the groom tells the priest "yes"?? 
why is it whenever I hear the word "brunch" I have this overwhelming craving for quiche... 
Aside from the job thing, sounds like a great weekend!

No, Zach kissed the bride and then turned to audience and says "yes" in excitement. If that makes sense. I don't quite know how to explain it.

The job thing isn't too upsetting. When I interviewed for the position, it seemed like I'd be doing one thing. Then as we progressed it looks like it was becoming a programming job. I'm not into programming that much so I'm not upset about not getting it.

I once worked with a pastor who would make this remark after the couple kissed: "They're going to continue that later"
