When my DH married me he knew I was just a good ol' girl from KY. So, a few weeks ago he asks if I want to go to this reception at a gallery in honor of this congresswoman. I was like  Don't you know you married a good ol' girl??? Why are you trying to make me all cultured and crap (not that I don't mind going to galleries or doing artsy fartsy stuff...just not with a bunch of other people all dressed in long black dresses trying to act better than the next person).
So, today he said "do we have anything on the schedule for Friday?" I'm like "no." Then he says "good, we are going to this reception." I'm like "I'M PREGNANT! My long black dress doesn't even FIT anymore." He's like "Oh, people won't care!" I'm like  :rolleyes:
So, we are going to this reception with like the best dressed couple I know which makes it even more obvious. Then I have to spend the evening listening to them ramble on and on and on about stuff that is of no interest to me.
I think I'll excuse myself to go to the bathroom after about 30 minutes and stay gone for a long, LONG time.

See, the sad thing is that these people really have no life so for me to talk about my wonderful life would just make me feel more like a snob! 
Plus, my boy is going to be in a babysitting situation with the kids of this other couple...their boy is a VERY bad influence on mine and since mine hasn't been at the top of his game lately this could potentially be very, very bad.
