Short Version:
1:05 Time, not sure what my finish was comparative to other runners in my age group. I can't find the numbers anywhere. I didn't finish last, there were 8 people behind me.
Longer Version:
I got there early, about 45 minutes. The park was pretty packed with 3 other events going on there too along with the normal stuff. I picked up my race packet with a nice long sleeve t-shirt and water bottle and starting doing my warm up. This is the first race where I've seen lots of people stretching and getting warmed up beforehand. I lined up towards the back since I'm between 10 - 11 minute mile and I was doing the 10k not the 5K (they had us both lined up at the same time). The race started without a hitch. I ran with one of the ladies from the group I run with on Saturday morning (Saratoga Stryders) for the 5K. We did pretty well. If I had been just running the 5K, it would have been a PR for me at 32 minutes! The first 5K was very flat, and fast. The second 5K, not so much. I've never run over 5 miles before so I wasn't sure how I was going to do. Then I saw miles 5 and 6, there were 4 large hills!!! Argh, why couldn't those have been in the beginning? Mile 6 's marker was at the top of the largest hill. I did okay. My legs and feet were tired at the end but I'd like to run another one!!!

Oddly enough, no... at the top it levelled out and turned so it was a flat finish..
