What is it with me and vehicles this week? urg!

I guess I didn't come to a complete stop at a stop sign, so I got a citation. I can either go to court, pay $125, or go to a 4-hour defensive driving class. If I go to the class, then it doesn't affect insurance, no points. So I'll be doing that. Plus, it's only $40.

Honest to Betsy already.

THEN, while in Walmart, ADT calls to tell me the house alarm has gone off. Luckily, it was a false alarm (our 3rd, next false alarm will cost us $100).

I had thought about skipping preschool today as I was just so tired. I now wish I had.

D'oh!

The po po was a super nice guy (aside from the whole citation thing, Wink). We got to talking about neighborhoods and speed limits, and I told him how people drive so fast in mine, so he gave me his card and told me to give him a call next week and we'd set up a radar thing and possibly figure out if we can get a speed hump installed. So not a completely bad thing.

Feeling good but stupid. Wink I also found out that it's $40 for the class PLUS $100 in court fees (the class is not in court though dunno ) so I will spend more $$ than the ticket, but really, save money with the insurance over the long haul.

I am glad that we'll get traffic evaluated in our neighborhood soon. Just need to make sure hubby knows. I don't think he ever drives 25mph through here. I will admit that it's hard to do with the hills.

And I'm USUALLY a very safe driver. I always buckle up, I don't speed in town (interstate is another story), and use my turn signal. I just evidently don't stop 100% at stop signs. Dangit. (I stopped, just not for but a second).

I'm not leaving the house tomorrow! I'm worried I'm paying off some karmic debt!!

PLEASE, BRIE, PLEASE.... take that target off the back of your car. And that "I Dare You To Pull Me Over" bumper sticker while you're at it.
