I think I have a problem with my timing. Sometimes I take part in amateur marathon races, and I have enough strength to run till the middle of the race and after that I feel like I could just fall down and sleep for five hours. How to change that and make it through the end of the race?

That’s exactly the same problem I have! Sometimes I’m even sick during the race and though I haven’t finished it I feel exhausted for the next couple of hours. Ad when it’s too hot, it takes me a few days to recover. I’ve heard that there has to be a strategy for each race. It’s not like you just start running and wait and see where you’ll get. I don’t know much about that but the race is supposed to be started at a certain speed and it’s very important that the speed varies throughout the race. Sometimes you have to slow down and near the end you have to speed up. I just don’t know how to save some strength for that final effort.
