i get it if you eat more than you burn you gain weight

it does not matter what type of calories

duh how simple is that
some people suck.
eat less, exercise and you may lose weight OMG

Well, that's today's Magic Bullet, Instant Gratification Without the Work society for ya......it's pretty obvious that carbs are a main block of large numbers of calories for most people, especially those who choose not to eat a lot of animal products, so....eliminate a large chunk of calories and you will lose weight quickly, UNTIL you start eating them again. Plus, the long-term effects on your body are not worth the quickie, temporary weight loss. But you can't convince some people who just don't want to put in the effort.

Look at Xenical, a popular weight loss drug......side effects = explosive, uncontrollable diarrhea Shocked
No thank you. I'd rather run!!

Precisely!! We decided at work that this is really a behavior modification technique. The premise for the uncontrollable diarrhea is that the fat is being expelled from your body before it can get absorbed, therefore, if every time you ate a Supersized Big Mac, fries and large chocolate shake you sh*t your brains out, you'd start eating more broccoli and skinless chicken breasts pretty darn fast!! Shocked

Kinda like smoking with the patch on. What exactly IS the point of that?
