Posted: 08/26/04 - 07:07 Post subject: Good and Bad fishing trip
The good, we caught a lot of fish. Blue fish are fun to reel in. Rob you were right, they do fight, but it is a fun fight.
We were six miles south of NYC. It was weird seeing the NYC sky line Sans the WTC.
What was really wierd is that our boat caught not one but two
mahi mahi (dophin fish)
they normally are not that close to shore let alone that far north.
The water was pretty warm so that is likely the reason why.
Overall it was good, we literally caught a boat load of fish. A friend of our Sgt. who went, is a barowner. He is going to have a fish fry in two weeks and invited everyone over to the bar for some free fish and drinks.
The bad, one guy on our squad was bringing along his two boys and got into a serious accident, flipping his truck. He is okay but his truck his totaled.

BTW, you do realize that it is the Repulicans fault you caught those mahi mahi so far north don't you? Global warming, caused by George Bush himself, is the reason the Atlantic is warming more than usual that far north. Fortunately, Teresa Heinz-Kerry's family is doing their part to alleviate this problem by keeping jobs in the family business overseas so as to not warm the water up on this side of the pond.

Yes I thought of that two as I look at the NYC skyline. I was wondering also how that fish lost his sense of direction.
And no Heniz ketchup for our fish please thanks
